Mr. Leal, a 1995 Tech Law grad, has been a federal prosecutor since 2007, has worked in either the Major Drug Unit or the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Section since 2008, and has prosecuted cases that involve several Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs). As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Mr. Leal's work with other prosecutors and agents has led the the successful prosecution and sentencing of hundreds of drug traffickers and several narco-terrorists. These narco-terrorists include three death squad leaders (Jefes de Sicarios). Mr. Leal will also be speaking about his involvement with the Department of Justice Overseas Prosecutorial Development and Training (OPDAT).
